Linking the Sunday School & the Seminary

Dr. Martin Luther nails his 95 Theses to the door of All Saints Church, Wittenberg and sparks the Reformation.

Purpose
In our day, the average Christian is very theologically anemic. This opens him to the delusions of the day and exposes him to spiritual instability, wherein he is tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. It is the duty of every Christian to know biblical doctrine, especially in these perilous days in which we find ourselves. Many are aware of their lack of knowledge, but they simply cannot attend a Bible college or seminary for one reason or another. Too few churches are seeking to equip believers on this level. It is for this reason that Heritage Baptist Church started Heritage School of Theology.

Heritage School of Theology acts as a link between the Sunday School class and the seminary. By providing a learning experience that involves both the head and the heart, Heritage School of Theology provides theological training to those who are unable to attend a formal seminary but want a higher level of training of theology.
Doctrine
Heritage School of Theology offers a certificate program that seeks to promote the five pillars of the Reformation:

  Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone)

  Solus Christus (Christ Alone)

  Sola Gratia (Grace Alone)

  Sola Fide (Faith Alone)

Soli Deo Gloria (To the Glory of God Alone)

Classes are held on Monday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

In The Heavenlies
A Bible Study Course on Paul's Letter to the Ephesians

This Bible study course will focus entirely on the Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians, bringing us face to face with Paul's doctrines, principles, and methods of establishing men and women of the church at Ephesus. We will seek to ascertain an understanding of this letter by observing the overall thought. The largest part of the course will be spent answering questions by directly observing the English text. Next, we will focus on the interpretation of the text. This will be left primarily to the commentary on vocabulary and grammar. Finally, we will apply the teaching to ourselves, according to 2 Timothy 3:16, outlining the doctrines, corrections, and instructions in righteousness that the text provides so that we may be thoroughly equipped unto all good works.
